After Brow Lift
The sutures on the surface are usually not absorbable and will need to be removed 1 week after surgery. Swelling and some bruising may occur which should subside within a few weeks. The bruising may extend around the eyes and should not alarm you. The swelling may also occur around the eyes, making it difficult to open your eyes, this is not alarming and expected. Apply ICE over the surgery site as often as tolerable. Antibiotics may be prescribed for several days following surgery. Women will be allowed to use eye cosmetics three days after surgery. You can proceed with your normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks. Apply Polysporin® twice a day to incisions.
The final evaluation and result will not occur for several months after the initial surgical procedure. Remember to be patient, your body needs time to heal.
